Missing the Mancard

Have you dads ever had that overwhelming feeling of losing your manhood??? YEAH, ME TOO!!!
Let me start out with some background.  I am a 35 year old disabled veteran and father of four, yes four children. I have 3 daughters and the youngest of the four is the sole boy. I know what you are thinking, if you are a woman you are saying "Oh he's going to be so spoiled like he has four mommas." If you are a man you are saying "Oh lord get that boy a gun and a football and both of you get out of the house."

Don't get it wrong.  I love all of my kids but the tutus and nail polish can be overwhelming. Sometimes I think about huffing the nail polish so I at least won't have complete recall of the events that led up to the makeover massacre of 2016.

It all started with my beautiful girl Ella. She is almost twelve and smarmy as can be. Right on the edge of womanhood. (NOOOOOO!!!!) If you are a father of a girl you understand. Ella is still in the stage of thinking she is a kid and can run through the house naked but continually will tell us all, "Look,  one of my boobs is bigger than the other." Never in my life have I wanted to curl up and die of embarrassment but also grab this child and scream. "No,  you are too young,  I want my darling little Ella back." Yeah it all makes me cringe. I have to put the youngest down for a nap but I will continue my fatherhood failings and falsehoods later.
