The Ailing Age

Let me introduce Addison. My third oldest child and youngest daughter. This girl is six going on thirty six.

She has the kindest heart but can be one of the most devious minds to ever be. (A lot of you are saying "well duh, you are her father."

No no no. She goes far beyond what I can muster. Addy is what her mom and I have come to find out is what you reference when you say feral child. She will run around naked much to my ire. She is an imp like her little brother but can make me smile when I think she wants to burn me alive. She loves to cuggle (what she calls cuddling) and her favorite person to cuggle with is good ol.... mom. Yes😥, it's mom not dad but every now and then I get a cuggle. See, she really sounds like a cat right? She wants nothing to do with me then climbs on my lap at her time to get affection.

Today Addison is horribly ill. Vomiting high temp and all that bad stuff. Boy oh boy can she take it though. What I would  wish to be young again?

By that I mean Addy will be hugging the designated vomit bowl and look at you with a smile and twinkle in her eye and for  my benefit only will say. "I am ok daddy."

"NO, YOU ARE NOT!! YOU JUST YAKKED ALL OVER MY BED AND BOTH COUCHES!"

Yes, only on my nice comfy bed and gorgeous couches. (Not so gorgeous anymore)

See, my point is I definitely could not act like this wonderkid that says she is my offspring. No, I would be curled in a ball in the corner.

I'm sorry this wasn't as light hearted as usual but I just wanted to show how proud I am of my little sickling.

And definitely to say I am showing my age.

Thank you
