Lock pick
I have found out being a parent I have found new skills and other dormant skills have awoken after a long period of rest.
Do your kids ever lock a door out of spite or maybe messing around and forget then shut the door locking everyone out?
Yeah, my kids do that a lot. I am not sure which child it was but my guesses are down to two and just like their initials I want to scream AARH or ARH depending on the devious minded child in my cross hairs.
One child locks the door just to be a funny turd but the lesser ARH is by far a master at manipulation and trying to see how things work.
Now, on to the story or as I like to call it. "Dad's situational awareness" or as Rocky thinks. "Dad are you paying attention? I am really going to test your skills this time."
I just happened to be doing something trying to get out of my children's bedroom, yes, that place really scares me.
(On a side note to prove a point Rocky just climbed up on the toilet lifted the lid of the tank just to see the mechanisms and how it works)
Warning, this isn't one child but two!!! Now then, I was making my way to leave after giving Addy a pep talk about her responsibility of cleaning the messing bedroom. As I turn to leave I here gears cranking and turning. Naturally I look around for the source of the disturbance. Whaddya know its Rocky with the devil's curls and a grin to match.
I watch closely as he grabs the door and swings it at me. Instinctively I reach to stop the door and grab the handle. Yep, you guessed it. Locked! One disaster avoided! I leave the room and step into the decontamination zone. A little bit later Addy comes out and says "Oopsy I locked the door on accident." (Sure, if you say so kid) We think about it and I remember I stuck a small screw driver in my pocket. Yes, it works!!!!
Yes, sir! Yes, ma'am!!! That is where lock picking comes into play!!
Thank you all again
